Show Me Condoms is working to End the HIV Epidemic

The Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) initiative is a national strategy launched in 2019 by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services aimed at dramatically reducing new HIV infections. It focuses on 57 priority jurisdictions where HIV transmission is most concentrated.

The initiative’s goal is to reduce new infections by 75% by 2025 and by 90% by 2030, preventing approximately 250,000 infections over the decade.

EHE emphasizes health equity, targeting communities disproportionately affected by HIV, and is implemented through collaboration among federal agencies, local health departments, and community organizations, with tailored local response plans and dedicated funding.
